We all seek direction in our lives. Whether we're at the pinnacle of our lives in terms of academic performance, job performance or relationships, we need direction. Direction may make or break whatever we're in. It is true, direction is essential in our everyday lives, and we need the right direction in life.
Some of us have made a decision to go down the direction of Christianity, like me. Some have not. If we have been directed to Christianity, we will trust in God for directions in our lives.
Direction may be shown in a compass, a GPS or perhaps a map. However, it's not going to help when we need directions in life. We have to trust God for directions. God is my guide, He will direct me and my paths. He has a plan for me, a plan to glorify His name, and I must listen to Him, and follow His direction, for His plan to be fulfilled in my life.
Directions are essential in everyday lives. We read the directions on the shampoo bottles or perhaps some medicine bottles, to see what we have to do, to see that we do the right thing. Without directions, how would we know what to do, which way to go? We may ask someone of authority such as a teacher, but he/she is human, and err, so we can't fully trust them. We may look at a guidebook for life for directions, but is that really going to define who you are, what you're going to do with your life? We need to live, and we need directions to live.
Boy, do we need directions!
We get our direction in life from God. He is the ultimate 'compass'. We can trust Him to direct us and our lives to which way to go, because He has a plan for us, plans not to harm us, but bring us hope and a future. God has given us a direction for life: Live for Him.
Why are some of us still looking for direction? He has already given us direction. Maybe we're just arrogant, maybe we want control over our lives. Think about it, we are His and His alone, not ourselves! We want to follow His direction. We must follow His direction. We follow His direction.
